DEVON.

.. he graduates this year..he is almost 18..

i met him when i started dating his uncle.

he was 6 weeks old.
i know i'm not supposed to have

favorites.. but if i did..

this guy is at the very top of the list.
this auntie is so proud of who he has grown up to be.

considering i've watched him literally every step of the way.

he is a great person.

{and freakin cute!!}

Today we are focusing on FRIENDS. and MAY DAY....

so I'll start off with a couple pics of my BEST FRIEND and I..

she is in a category all her own.

I've been friends with her longer than anyone else.

nearly my whole life.

She is like no other and our friendship is like no other.

She knows everything that has ever happened in my life.

wow. that is amazing.

so is she. this is my sister. exactly 2 years, one week and one day

younger than me. :)

now on to the projects...
i wanted to make a quick, cheap & easy little MAY BASKET..
and I saw this idea online..
to use a food box, cover it and make it cute.
take one PopTart box
(or the generic variety if you have a family of SIX like i do. :)

I covered it with patterned paper, then coated the
whole thing with Mod Podge
(just because i LOVE Mod Podge)
you don't have to if you don't like it.

then I stamped an image (Bubble Gum Tree)

decorated it a little bit.

Added some stickers & rub ons to the box

then punched holes on the sides
and added some ribbon to make a hanger.
all ready to fill with treats and deliver on May Day!

rainy monday..what a day!

Apology Alert!!

I'm so sorry that I did not get this post up this morning.

I recently took on new responsibilities at work..

feeling overwhelmed and discouraged as I am completely

inexperienced with the programs I need to use..

anyone that knows me..

knows that I like to be GOOD at the things I do..

it will come. eventually. ugh!

soo... I didn't have a minute to spare today.. and had planned

to do my blog post at lunch.. then ended up not taking a lunch..

so here I am at 5:30 posting away!!

Today the Monday Chicks decided to go with a kids birthday card theme.

with my son Caden who turned 8 on Friday..

the BIRTHDAY boy!

and illustrate them.

Since it was all birthday.. all weekend.. and yesterday

was also Trever's grandmother's 81st birthday...

It worked out perfectly for me to make a birthday set
