rain, rain go away.. WAIT. you can stay...just for the weekend.

It RAINED ALL WEEKEND...

and normally I am NOT a fan of rain

{like this morning for instance,

when I had to RUN in to church

and try not to look like a drowned rat!!}

BUT other than that..

it was wonderful!!!

I snuggled up on my couch the whole weekend..

with a cup of coffee.. my favorite quilt..

and THIS BOOK!!

Third in the Twilight series.

Just as GREAT as the first two! Friday evening..

our neighbors and WONDERFUL FRIENDS

invited us over for a bonfire.

One of my other very favorite things about fall... bonfires!

Trever was busy finishing up chopping silage..

poor guy put in a 20 hour day!! YUCK!

so just the kids and I went over.. and we all had a BLAST.

Got to hang with the Rogers, Andersons, Magnusons and Ridls..

Beautiful night... great company... simply RELAXING.

Hotdogs and brats roasting over the fire..

Lynette's taco salad... Bethany's cookies and bars...

dill pickle chips... a beer and I was good to go for the night! Sofia and Maggie were so cute playing together.

The two littlest of the gang.. and I do mean GANG.

There were at least 20 kids there.

They had a great time jumping on the tramp,

playing night games and collecting critters from the pond.

Weekend Update!!!

Its that time again... WEEKEND UPDATE!!!

Here are all the details of how I spent my weekend.

First up.. since we need some fun stuff to look at...

Here are the kiddos.. ready to get on the bus..

not actually the FIRST day for all..

but at least this was taken during the first WEEK. :)

They all love school and I am so glad to be back in a routine!!

Friday night was spent at Angela's parents HUNTING CABIN.. way out in the woods... with a BONFIRE.. and some of my favorite UNITY PEEPS and great friends. We enjoyed the crisp fall air.. looked at the stars.. talked smart and best of all.. LAUGHED. A LOT. it was great!

Saturday.. i read a book. yep. thats it. read 500+ pages. could NOT put it down until i was done.. i'm going crazy waiting for Eryn to finish the sequel so i can get my hands on it. i'm now convinced i want my OWN VAMPIRE BOYFRIEND. Edward stole my heart!!! The book is TWILIGHT by Stephenie Meyer. you need to check it out. and if you don't like reading.. the movie is coming to theaters Dec. 12. better believe that i'll have a front row seat for that!!!

Today... first day of Sunday school for the kiddos.. we stayed after for a fish fry and carnival games.. it was FUN! rest of the day was spent relaxing at home.. i've been catching up on laundry. trever grilled us pork chops for dinner. the kids are playing outside. great day!!!

And.. i did a bit {just a tiny bit} of blog hopping.. and came across this on Karen's blog..from Prevention magazine.. i love it! this is definitely getting printed and put where i can see it daily. great things to remember!

Just returned home from a wonderful relaxing

weekend spent with my family!!

It was a perfect way to end the summer...

now we are ready for fall and the transitions that it will bring!

Here's what we are looking forward to...

Me.. starting FULL TIME @ Unity Stamp

Trever... having the whole day to himself since we will all be GONE.

Chloe... entering 3rd Grade!

Caden... starting 2nd Grade!

Brody... starting PRESCHOOL 2 days a week..

riding the BUS with the big kids...

and returning to daycare the other days!

Sofia... going back to daycare with all her little friends!

September 1 also brings new and exciting things for Unity...
