Eeeek! Eat Pray Love is my favorite book! It totally changed my life and brought me closer to religion because Elizabeth Gilbert gave me permission to take what I want from religions and make it my own. I finally realized there is no wrong way to pray and that was such a turning point in my life. The movie is really cute. I went to see it with a friend who hasn't read the book and she thought the movie was very good. I just think that while it was a great movie that touched on the book, it didn't have the kind of depth that book has. The movie, had I seen it first, would not be something I'd call life changing so I'm glad I read the book first.

Would you believe I've never heard of this book/movie? Will definitely have to check it out now!

I just finished the book and my husband was kind enough to see the movie with me the other night. There were 5 guys in the audience so he was not alone...lol I liked the movie--not as much as the book--but Julia Roberts was wonderful. Wondered how it was for someone who hadn't read the book but hubby liked it too. (We went to an Italian restaurant beforehand for dinner to get in the spirit of things!) Enjoy when you go!

The movie was good, but not as good as the book. Books go so much deeper than the movies. The book really made me look at my life in a different light and not be so hard on myself.

Your card is SUPER cute...I lovethe black/white!

The layout is really sweet and I always love seeing examples of layouts with the stamps!

Eat.Pray.Love - To be honest, I don't really know what all the hype is about..I never get into these things...maybe it's because I don't have cable and never really know what's in the theatres and such...if we go, I just decide on a whim what to see.

However, I am interested in the book... I've heard AMAZING things and DISAPPOINTING things... and I'm curious where I would fall in. :)

I have a big to read list, gathering...that's for sure!! It's hard to find time to do it all, right? :)

I'm curious to read the book. It's not my normal fare, but sometimes you just have to take a step outside your comfort zone, otherwise, you never grow. So I will probably read it during a school break.

I love your layout with Chloe. She just keeps getting more beautiful.

I am so GLAD I read the book this summer b4 I saw the movie....I am sure the movie wouldn't be as meaningful if I had not read it FIRST! I think it is always hard to make a great book a good movie. ♥ the book.

Beautiful layout and Cute as can be card. Love how you used the stamps on the layout. I only have a couple unity stamps so far and I think they are FABULOUS, looking forward to getting more. As for the movie, planning to see it, but a friend and I think it would be fun to read the book first. Good thing I read fast :)

I have not seen the movie or read the book, but I have plans to do both. Soon. By myself. My husband would strongly object to subjecting himself to a movie like that. LOL

Our "dinner and a movie" group is going to see that movie next week - I've read such great things about it. And I'm usually one to read a book BEFORE I see the movie, but that won't happen this time. SIMPLY ENJOY!!!

Savannah O'Gwynn said...

OH MY--those stamp sets are a MUST HAVE! LOVE your card and that LO is beautiful! LOVE IT!

I have heard mixed reviews on the book--not sure if I will watch the movie (yet). I need to read it first--I have a list of things to read....so it might be 2012 before I get to it:)

Nicole W. said...

I am still trying to get through the book! I am almost at the end of the "Italy" section and I refuse to watch the movie until I am done with the book ;)

I love how Liz goes on a "No Carb Left Behind" food quest! Having recently lived in Italy for two years, I can so identify with that sentiment!
