 So Thankful for you...
card using HHSC30
My next project is a decor item that I can have out for
Thanksgiving
OR any time of year!
Thankful for YOU wooden block.
I used stamps from the October Kit of the Month
{take time to laugh}
and other Unity stamps
First I cut patterned paper into 3.5 inch squares
next, I attached the paper to the block with Modge Podge
then, I added the title and embellishments to the top of the cube.
after that, I trimmed my kid's photos to 3X3 squares
and adhered to the block- one per side
finally, I stamped sentiments on each photo
(yes.. you should probably do this BEFORE adhering the photos...
but I didn't...that's how I roll...  :)
and.. DONE!
 it turned out adorable..
they love having their photos as part of our table centerpiece!

Hi Brooke!

Oeh, what a beauty of a box you have created!!! Perfect! Love the photos on it and the way you can change your view on it every day! Great idea! Also love the winning card, that's so pretty! What an idea to make a branch like that in stitching, lovely!!
What am I grateful for? Well, of course, for my loving family, boyfriend and sweet friends and being healthy and happy! BUT..... to be honest.... the first thing that came to my mind, when I read your question was: MEETING UNITY! Ha ha! Am I weird? I've only 'met' Unity about five/six weeks ago and I'm in love! Love all the stamps, all the people and all the wonderful creations I admire on the lovely blogs! So that's what my honest answer would be! ;-)
Hope you'll have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Wendy

What a gorgeous, gorgeous idea of thanksgiving - I LoVe your cube (and I'd be just the same, adding the stamping after I'd glued the pics on, cos that's when I'd think of it!!) Hmmm, that would work for a great Christmas pressie for my mother in law - thanks for the inspiration :)

I just love blog hops! I get to meet so many talented and inspiring people. Love your card and display block! What I'm most thankful for is MY FAMILY! My parents instilled in us the importance of family and although we have lost them and 1 brother, us other 5 manage to enjoy each other's company even though we are all different. Family does that for us:) My two sons unfortunately didn't get along too well when they were young but now as adults do enjoy each others company. Nothing makes my heart grow bigger than seeing the two of them laugh together:)

Love your "thankful" cube - what a great, tangible way to show off some of your most precious blessings -- and like you said, I'm sure it really lets your children know how much you love and value them.
Beautiful!

I'm thankful for my faith and relationship in Christ, my husband's love, and many, many more bountiful blessings!

Your photo block is AWESOME!!! Today I am super grateful for the little things that aren't really little. Healthy kids, thank yous when I didn't ask for them that show they're listening, big impish grins, my husband getting home safely from the job I'm so grateful he has. Non-little things like that. :)

Brooke, your card is lovely. I like the kraft base, the layers & the stitching. The brighter colours of the focal image really adds a special touch to the card.
The cube is really something too. A great decor item and makes a beautiful gift. Thanks for sharing!
