HiP HoP

{a bit early}
Today the Unity and {ippity} DT girls have a
SPOOKTACULAR treat for YOU!

All kinds of creepy crawly crafty goodness... for Halloween...
using our favorite stamps from Unity & {ippity} of course!

There is something SO super EXCITING taking place as well..
make sure you
check out the UNITY BLOG for ALL the info!!
You won't want to miss this.
yipppeee!!

This fall I've been doing ALOT of cleaning and organizing around my home..
 I've decided to keep only things that are useful or have special meaning.
If we don't use it, or want to keep it for a memento.. ADIOS!
It feels GREAT.. having much less STUFF.
My outdated Halloween decorations were some of the things that I said 'good bye' to...

so I decided to make a BANNER from my kids photos that I can use year to year during the Halloween season and actually want to KEEP because it has MEANING. :)

 It was almost impossible to get a good photo of this banner..
 it is over 4 feet long.
The photos are printed in black and white in 4X6 inch size.
I had to hang it outside on my porch wall to get decent lighting.
{do you LOVE that OLD peely paint?? I DO. it's vintage... it's distressed... its just MY STYLE.}
 These pics are from last Halloween- 2009
Chloe upheld the Hallow's Eve law as a pretty
police officer.
 Caden played the part perfectly as an amazingly
CREEPY mummy
{I LOVED making this costume!!}
 I used Glimmer Mist to make my eyelet match! SO COOL!
 Brody made his way through the night as a
FREAKY vampire...
{once again.. i LOVED making this costume!}
 Sweet little Sofia.. well she was a butterfly fairy.
Dainty and Darling. That's HER style.

I cut all the pendants from cardstock, added patterned paper and machine stitching..
attached the photos... used my UNITY STAMPS and a few other goodies to decorate...
set eyelets between the pendants... connected them with ribbon..
and added a few extra pieces of ribbon for FUN!

Brooke, you are so amazing! I love the banner, and I love that you made your kids costumes. I am attempting to make my son a ghost costume and so far it looks more like a KKK getup! (not good! we can't have faces covered at our church party so he has to have a hood and cape instead of just a sheet with eyes cut in it!). I love the b/w photos and the stamping and the papers are awesome!
