Happy Birthday Brooke! I would have left you a comment regardless if there was candy or not!!! But what a nice give away to celebrate YOUR day!!!

I think my favorite childhood birthday memory is all the wonderful birthday parties my mom used to throw with all my neighborhood friends and classmates. Nothing grand... no ponies or clowns, but just simple, fun parties with my friends It's endearing to look back at the years of photos and remember... thanks Mom!

Enjoy your day Brook!

Happy Birthday!!! My favorite birthday when I turned 10. I think it was my first party with just my friends. I have two siblings with birthdays in the same month and we always had ONE party for all of us until this year. It was so much fun! It was a sleepover but I don't think we ever slept! I don't think I had any other friend parties after that year either!!! LOL!

What's your favorite birthday memory Brooke? We would love to hear it!

Jacqueline said...

Happy Birthday Brooke!!! Wow you are the sweetest giving blog candy out on YOUR birthday, you are a sweetie!!! My favorite birthday memories is when my mom hired this woman who dressed up as strawberry shortcake(5th birthday) and a cabbage patch doll(8th birthday), she was awesome, her company would bring a cake and she would play fun games and would sing for me and my friends. Oh the memories of those days will last forever, my mom always tried to give me the best birthdays!
Thanks Brooke for the chance!

Happy Birthday Brookie!

I think my best birthday was just this last one, my best friends who live far away were here to celebrate with me, I had my little Brady muffin there who just had a ball, and I was just very content in that day. :)

Happy Birthday, Brooke! Hope it is a good one! My favorite memory is a general one that I got to pick out my favorite birthday dinner for my mom to make me . . . I picked her homemade lasagna nearly every year, which she cooked, even though my birthday is in August and it meant the oven made the house super hot!! I think she was secretly relieved the year I asked for my grandpa to grill his famous hamburgers instead. :-)

Happy Birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day.

It's hard to pick a favorite birthday, but one that sticks out was when I turned 12. I almost didn't get to have a party because it had been snowing so much. I had 3 friends over and we played games ate cake normal birthday party things. The part that was the best was around midnight we all put on our winter apparel and went outside. It was so pretty with all the fresh snow.

Happy Birthday Girly! My favourite birthday or birthday gift? It would probably have to be my birthday last summer. A friend of mine surprised me by completely decorating the heck out of my house (she has a key) and then treating me to dinner, a pedicure and a big ole tub of ice cream. Hope you have a fantabulous day!

Happy birthday, Brooke!!

My very favourite birthday memory would be the year I turned 25. I was 8 days overdue with my third child and scheduled to go in for an ultrasound to check fluid levels two days later, with the potential for induction at that time. Instead, I went into labour on my birthday.

I still tease my daughter about waiting to get serious about being born until after midnight just so she could have her very own birthday, but spending the latter part of the day knowing I was going to be meeting my new baby was an amazing feeling - and she was the best birthday present ever.

Happy Birthday Brooke!

My best gift ever... I love brand new white athletic socks. I've always said, someday I'll be rich enough that every day I can wear brand new socks. I always have a good day in brand new socks. My birthday is in the summer, as you know and my brother's is the day after Christmas. One year, I guess he had forgotten to give me a gift in the summer, so under the Christmas tree was a birthday gift for me. I opened it to find 2 packages of white crew length athletic socks. I looked at him a little confused and he said, "I just gave you 12 good days."

Super.

Happy Birthday to you! My favorite birthday memory (actually memories) were those birthdays I celebrated with my sister. We were two year and two days apart and until we went off to college we shared our birthday celebration every year after she was born. She passed away in 1999 and I miss those days!

I wish you a year of happiness and good health.

Happy Birthday, Brooke! My favorite birthday memory is when I turned 10 -- my mom was into decorating cakes and so she made a really cool cake for me that had all sorts of little LPs on it (you're too young to know what those are, but they're what song recordings used to be on LONG before they made their way onto CDs -lol), and a dance floor with some people posed to be dancing on it. I also had a slumber party with a lot of my friends that night. Great fun for a 10-yr old! Hope your bday today is just as special to you as my 10th was to me. (And thanks for giving us the chance to win these awesome stamps!)

happy happy birthday!!!!!! I really enjoyed my 33rd year (turn 37 in April) and I hope it's an awesome year for you too! My fave birthday memory was when I was younger and we didn't have much money and my dad had converted my old, not cool at all bike into this fantastic white and red creation with streamers from the handlebars and everyting! I absolutely loved that bike and the pure joy I got when they wheeled it out to me.
Hope you also get some wonderful birthday memories this year

Happy Birthday to you,

Oh, I have 2 favorite birthday memories. So, I gotta tell both. The first was a little surprise party my hubby threw for me, a month early. I was scheduled to have jaw surgery at the beginning of my birthday month and was not gonna be able to eat for 6 weeks. Well, one day I came home from work (3:30 in the afternoon) and a few of my closest friends jumped out at me. My husband had even picked out a Tinker Bell cake for me.

The next was just last year for my 30th. No one can ever seem to throw me a surprise party (except for the last one, so I thought). Anyways, me and a few girls had been talking about going for margaritas for weeks. We had planned a day and I got a sitter for after work. Well, it was a surprise party at the local Mexican restaurant. It was great and tons of people from work were there, and even my close friend flew in from Florida to be there. It was great!!!

Happy birthday to you! I remember when I was a little girl I could pick what kind of cake I wanted and mom would make it into a "barbie-doll" cake where you stuck a doll in the center and the cake was her fabulously decorated dress, LOL! Those were the perfect and simple days with a small party and good times!

Happy Birthday Brooke! I hope you had a great day all about YOU! Not sure what my favorite Birthday present was, but when I was in high school my mom brought me to Hershey Park, PA to see my favorite group at the time Hanson. Not ony was it a great road trip and a great concert, but a wonderful weekend with my mom all to myself!

Happy Birthday, girl!!! My craziest birthday gift, but most practical, was a new set of tires for my car when I turned 22. Couldn't afford them myself, so got them for my birthday!

My birthday was the only day my parents did things totally for me. I got to choose what we had for dinner, what kind of cake and frosting I wanted - and I got to lick the cake mix and frosting bowl all by myself (if I wanted to). Since I had several siblings, this was a treat. But I usually found myself unable to keep the licking all for myself and had to share anyway.

Happy Birthday to you... hope your day is special.

Happy Birthday!!! When I was a child, school started after Labor Day. Since my birthday is Sept 4 school always started either on my birthday or somewhere close to my birthday. Now I'm a high school teacher and this year all throughout the day, the students left messages to me on the board. I took a picture of it because it was so neat. It's a birthday gift I'll remember for quite a while...or at least until next year! Have a great day! Cathy

Happy birthday! My BEST birthday gift ever came 2 Christmases ago (it was a BIG gift: Christmas and birthday combined since my bday is in January). I LOVE to play the piano but since getting married haven't owned my own. Well, my wonderful parents bought me a full size electric piano to keep in our apartment - I was so shocked!! I screamed and cried and screamed and cried, it was wonderful. :)

Happy Birthday! Hope you had a fabulous day! Birthdays should still be special even in your thirties :-) My best present ever came when I was 6 mnths preganant with my first child. My husband decided that we need to get away for a relaxing weekend at a Bed & Breakfast, it was a total surprise to me and he thought out every detail. It was the last time we went away just the two of us (my son is now five). I cherish it now and until we get to experience "alone" time again! :-) P.S. I love your Playlist song, it brings back college memories!

The best birthday present I ever got was kitty toys... which seemed silly when I first opened them (since I didn't have a cat!), but it was soon after my fiancee moved in with me, and he wanted me to get the kitty that I always wanted, so he bought me the cat toys, and then he took me the next day to the animal shelter where we brought home TWO (!!!) kitties.

Happy Birthday Brooke

Oh wow!! I wish I was 33 again. I didn't have cancer then. I'm 38, and trying to make it to 40. So, a big Happy Birthday to ya!! Ummm, lets see.......I would have to say my favorite birthday was when I was 8, and my Mom had gone all out and made her famous gingerbread cookies and cupcakes and I had all of my friends over, and I actually remember getting a pink, cat shaped bottle of bubble bath that I flipped out over. After that, my parents got divorced and life as I knew it was never the same.

Thank you for the wonderful blogging that you do.

You are still a young thing! Wait until you get to be in your *cough* mid 40s! Actually I love the 40s. As for my best birthday present, it has to be the surprise 40th birthday party that my hubby and friends threw for me. My hubby even prepared a powerpoint slide show of my life with pictures from all stages of my life. He went to so much trouble to do it without my knowledge. He is the best! Thanks for a chance to win some awesome blog candy!

One that stands out as a special memory, was when my husband was on his first deployment in 2001. I actually was in Scotland visiting him when 9-11 happened and that visit was cut short, not to mention I lived really close to NYC and there was little if not any communication with him during this time. The deployment was coming to an end of the 6 months, and I was in a town with no family and not too many friends. I didn't expect anything from anyone on my birthday, except a few sloppy kisses from my babies, and maybe a phone call from my great grandma. I was perfectly content with that because my husband was due to come home the day before Christmas, so that would be my birthday present was to see him. Anyhow, well that day my door bell rang and it was a florist with this huge bouquet of Tulips (fav flower) with a hand written note from my husband and chocolate! Then later on, my door bell rang again, and it was UPS with packages from Victorias Secret (no undies or bras lol) he had picked out some really pretty sweaters from the catalog online when they were in a foreign port and had it set to be delivered on my birthday. I was just so shocked that he had arranged before he ever left on the deployment with a florist to deliver flowers on my birthday, then to get a gift too was just amazing. Its little things like that, that make you feel appreciated.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday spent with your kids and hubby. I know you are getting ready to leave for CHA, so have a great time in California! If you happen to see an In N Out Burger, you must eat there, it kind of looks like a fast food place, but seriously they have the best burgers EVAH! Get some good Mexican food too!

My best birthday memory would be for my 29th birthday my husband surprised me with a family party.
To celebrate he thought he would throw me off doing it for my 29th instead of my 30th. Boy he sure did surprise me. He also presented me with diamond earrings.

I am now 46 years old & married 23 1/2 years to by Best Friend. That is still the best birthday memory.

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BROOKE! Wow! a whole 33!!! My 30s were my favorite - I'm 63 now and I can truly say I'm glad I am. My favorite birthday present was a note from my husband saying "Go pick out your puppy!" This was many years ago and we had had to put to sleep our old dog. I've always had a dog, usually two at a time, so the house seemed empty to me even with 4 kids around. My husband had always gone along with just about everything I did or wanted to do, but he dragged his feet about this - why, I don't know. So when I opened this note, I was super excited and thrilled and went to Humane Society the next day!!!

Happy Birthday Brooke. The weather warmed up and the sun was shining to celebrate your birthday and your son's and MIL's birthday.

I have many happy birthday memories but the first one that came to mind was when my brother showed my friends the crabfish he caught from the nearby creek. We hung outside and played with the crabs. We hung them from our hair. We would choose a crab and have them race. Just silly fun with a lot of screaming and laughing.

Happy Birthday! I guess I would have to say the best birthday I ever had was February 11, almost 10years ago. I was in labor with my twin boys. Yes, it was 36 hours of labor, but we prayed for over 5 years for babies, twin babies and we got them. The boys were born on just after midnight on February 12 so we don't share a birthday. But that day will hold a very special and magical day for me!

Hey brooke

Happy Birthday Girlie!

OH man, I used to LOVE birthdays and christmas when I was a kid, still do! I don't think I can pick just one but they were all good. Growing up most every year till I was probably 16 we had a party in the yard and I was a summer baby so that was easy to do. Although it always seemed to rain on my birthday! HA! But it always worked out somehow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! My most memorable birthday was my 7th...my aunt "Nini" had given me a pair of blue athletic shorts with the white stripes down the side (kinda like the little sofies all the girls are wearing now...really short). I hated them...I cried right in front of my Nini and embarrassed her tremendously! As punishment, my mother made me wear them as my "play clothes" for a month (she washed them of course). I came to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those shorts and after the month was over, my mom couldn't get them off of me (except to wash). I've carried this experience with me throughout life (I'm 33 year old as well) and used it in a LOT of decisions.

Have a WONDERFUL Birthday!!!

Oh Happy Birthday Brooke!!!

My absolutely FAVORITE birthday Memory was the year I turned 30...I was so depressed, I thought I had to be responsible now, 30 had to be an adult! Well my DH was a total sweetheart "easing" me into my thirties....everynight for 5 nights when I would get ready for bed he would have a little gift on my pillow for me. They were gold hoop earrings, sashets, A day at the salon for hair and nails, a GC to my favorite restaurant, A sexy nightie (that was more for his benefit LOL!) and on my thirtieth birthday he gave me a beautiful Gold ring with Diamonds and Sapphires. Took me to dinner w/o the kids and made me feel so beautiful....AHHHH... can you believe that was 13 years ago!!! WaAAAAA, now I am really old! LOL!!

Have a very happy birthday.

My fav memory was just from this past year. My hubby pretty much neglects my birthday every year. His bday is january 2nd and because of everyone always comboing his bday with christmas, it's just not that special to him. But when he realized this past year that he had never gotten me a cake or a card since he knew me... he threw me a big surprise party and got me a cake and a card for every year he missed. My whole kitchen was covered with CAKES! I had to send cakes home with everyone! :)

Happy Happy Happy Day!!! My favorite birthday was my 29th. My husband and I were in New Zealand for a two week trip of a lifetime. Because of the time change, we celebrated my birthday for nearly 50 hours. We were on a bus in the south island for a good chunk of it, and got stuck behind a pack of sheep so the bus couldn't go anywhere. We had amazing latte's at a McDonald's where they swirl the chocolate and the whipped cream into a logo of the golden arches.
Then we had an amazing dinner at a great restaurant where you can bring in your own bottle of wine. What a great country!

I ended up woith over $300. and then all my friends pitched in to get a LIMO to take us around all the store to go shopping. It was fabulous!!

Happy Happy Birthday to you!!! I cannt pick one favorite birthday memory as they are all so wonderful. I guess my best borthday memory was from about 4 or 5 years ago, when both my grandparents were still alive, and we all went out to dinner and had a fabulous evening just talking and laughing and enjoying each other's company. Who could ask for more?!?!
